My life can be pretty random, and therefore at times, hard to keep track of. There are days when I've forgotten what I did that morning, or the day before, and I've even forgotten that I'll be hopping on a plane the next day after telling someone I could meet them for lunch at the same time. I'm sure you can relate! This year my worlds collided: video producer, professional athlete, spokesperson + all around adventurer. I wanted to make sure I jotted down the highlights - before I forgot how awesome it had all been! I do keep a journal, pretty regularly, but wanted them all here, in one place.
A great friend of mine once challenged me to take a moment of my time to simply say to myself, "Damn that was good" before moving onto my next rep in the gym or other challenge. Its easy not to and just rush onto the next second wanting it to be better than before. I've learned to take that moment. As it turns out, doing so only helps make those next moments the best yet. It certainly helps me appreciate what I've done and in turn gives me the confidence that whatever comes next can and will be better.
Have you taken a moment to take a deep breath and remember YOUR highlights from last year? Here's mine...
